Geography Policy

In Geography children learn about different countries and people of our earth, its climate, natural resources and its oceans, rivers and mountains.

In Early Years, children learn about their immediate environment including school and their local community. Foundation Stage children are encouraged to read and draw simple maps using invented and conventional symbols.

In Key Stage 1 geography is taught through cross curricular activities and topics. It is often taught through stories both fact and fiction and work is recorded in a variety of ways including drawings, labelling, photographs and written work.
