Welcome to Purston Infant School. We hope this will give you an insight into who we are and you find the information you are looking for.

Purston Infants is proud to be a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted, February 2023) providing a high standard of education for children aged between the ages of three and seven.

At Purston Infant School we pride ourselves in being a warm, friendly and inclusive school.

‘There is a strong sense of community at Purston Infant School. Pupils, parents, carers and staff are proud to be part of this community and work in partnership together. Leaders and staff are caring and nurturing. These qualities spread throughout the school.’ (Ofsted, February 2023)

Our aim is to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, one which inspires and motivates children. We believe that ‘ every child deserves the best we can give’ and have high expectations of all children to ‘be the best they can be.’

Our committed staff and supportive governing body work tirelessly to ensure that all children achieve academically, socially and emotionally, while promoting a sense of health and wellbeing, equipping children with necessary life skills.

Parents have highly positive views of the school. ‘I can’t possibly give enough praise to this school. It really is amazing. The teachers are all lovely and really go above and beyond for the children.’

I am proud to be the head teacher of Purston Infant School and thank you for visiting our school website.
