Hello Monkeys and Elephants,

Remember to share your reading book or another story every day.

Floppy’s Phonics

We would like you to start your day with some phonics. You can practice your speed sounds every day by following the links on our class pages.

Red group – Today we would like you to look at the letter group ‘ear’ as in ear. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. near, fear, dear, tears . Use your phonic knowledge to read the words. Now ask a grown up to read the words so you can write them. Listen carefully to the sounds in the words. Can you put one of the words into a sentence?

Blue group – Today we would like you to look at the sound ‘ng’ as in ring. Ask a grown up to write this list of words ring, king, bang, long. Use your phonic knowledge to read the words. Now ask a grown up to read the words so you can write them. Listen carefully to the sounds in the words

Yellow group – Today we would like you to look at the sound ‘k’ as in key. Ask a grown up to write this list of words. key, kid, kit, kiss. With your grown up use your phonic knowledge to read the words and have a go at copying the words.

Remember, say the sound, read the word.

Expressive Arts and Design

Think about the writing that you did yesterday and make the land where your Magic Ticket has taken you.  What does it look like?  You could design it on paper first then make it by using paints, collage materials, box modelling or you could use Lego or blocks.

We can’t wait to see where your Magic Ticket has taken you!

Don’t forget to ask your grown up to email or Tweet us photographs of your magic tickets.

Thank you.
