Phonics

Today we are looking at the letter group ‘tch’, as in hatch. How many words can you think of? Choose your favourite book, how many words with the ‘tch’ sound can you find in your book? We would like you to make a list of the words in your workbook and read them to a grown up. Can you put some of these words into a sentence? Can you make a silly sentence?

Music

On Wednesday morning we have singing, sing your favourite songs to your grown up and with your grown up then make up a silly song or rhyme. Can you think of ways to make music using different parts of your body?

The rainforest has lots of rain; can you find anything in your house or garden that you could use to make the sound of the rain?

DT

Can you design and make a rainmaker with the things that you might find in your house or garden? Here are some ideas:

Empty tubs, empty milk cartons, yogurt pots, tubes, uncooked rice, beads, pebbles, sweets.

We would love to see your rainmakers when they are finished!

Maths

How many ways can you make 20?

Yellow and Crocodiles – Start our maths session by counting to 20 again. We should be getting really good at this now.
