Good morning Kangaroos and Giraffes.

Phonics

Today in phonics, we would like you to make up some alien names, using the letter groups that we have been looking at this week –        ow, ai, -oa and ur.

Can you write the alien names in your workbook and draw a picture of what the alien might look like?

Can you write a silly sentence about your alien?

English

This week you have been finding out about the different animals that live in the different layers of the rainforest.

Today, we would like you to tell us which layer of the rainforest the creature that you discovered lives in.

In your workbook, we would like you to draw your animal in the layer of the rainforest that it lives in and label it. Can you use adjectives to help describe the creature, for example you might draw a butterfly instead of just labelling ‘wings’ could you label it ‘beautiful, delicate wings’?

Remember to use capital letters and take extra care with your handwriting today too.

Maths

We have counted in 2s, 5s and 10s this week so today we would like you to recap all of these. Count to a grown up in either 2s, 5s or 10s, or all of them!

Have a go at practicing counting in these numbers with this game.

Make sure you look carefully at the starting number and count carefully!! Have fun!

Creative

Can you make a rainforest word-search for a friend or grown up to do?

Can you make up a game that you could play in the rainforest with some of the animals? What is your game called and what are the rules?

Have a super weekend and have lots of rest.
