Hello Tigers and Lions,

On the front of your folder is either a yellow, blue or red sticker.  Please complete the activity with your grown up that matches the colour on your folder.

Remember to share your reading book or another story every day.

If your child has a phonics folder read daily.

English – continuing work on your favourite book.

Red Blue – Choose one or two pages from your book.  Can you find any interesting words that the author has used?  Can you find out what these words mean?  For example: ‘The snow glistened brightly in the sunshine.’ What does ‘glistened’ mean?  Can you think of other words that mean the same?

Yellow – Word detectives – today we would like you to look for as many different ways of making the ‘ee’ sound as you can.  Which other letter groups make the ‘ee’ sound?  Make a list of the word you find in your book.

Maths – In your workbook.

Red – Blue – Fractions recap- draw a circle, square, and a rectangle. Use a ruler to help you find two thirds. Colour two thirds in. Write this as a fraction. Challenge- is two thirds the same as one half? Explain your answer.

Yellow – Fractions recap- draw a square and a rectangle. Use a ruler to help you find 2 thirds. Colour two thirds in.

Geography – following on from our mapping work skills last week, this week we would like you to have a go at the following game!  You will be able to revise the oceans and continents as well as play a treasure hunt game!  Enjoy!
