Hello Lions and Tigers!

We hope that you had a lovely weekend and are now ready for some more activities!

On the front of your folder is either a yellow, blue, or red sticker.  Please complete the activity with your grown up that matches the colour on your folder. If you are in any doubt, please email your class teacher at the email address on your class page.

Remember to share your reading book or another story every day, this is the most important thing you can do!

If you have a phonics folder, please continue to practise the sounds you have already been taught.  Make sure that you can use the sounds you know to read unfamiliar words.

English – Today we will start a new unit of work all about Aladdin!  Aladdin was a traditional tale before it was made into a Disney film.  Click the link to watch the short video clip up to 2 mins 46 secs.

Red and Blue: You are going to write the first part of the story.  Start with a story opener and describe Aladdin.  Explain that he met a strange man who offered him a gold coin if he would go into a deep hole.  Use adjectives to describe what he found in the hole.  What did Aladdin feel like?  What did the man drop into the hole?  Try to use conjunctions to make your sentences longer.

Yellow: As above, tell the story up to the part where the man pushed the rock back into the hole.  Children will need support to make their sentences, try to use phonics where you can to help with spelling.

Maths – All Groups: Shape.  What can you remember about 2d and 3d shapes?  Follow the link to the online lesson to learn about creating patterns with shapes.  When you have finished, take the final quiz and make a screenshot of it to email to your class teacher.
