Home Learning 12.6.20

Friday 12th June 2020

Hello Lions and Tigers!

On the front of your folder is either a yellow, blue, or red sticker.  Please complete the activity with your grown up that matches the colour on your folder. If you are in any doubt, please email your class teacher at the email address on your class page.

Remember to share your reading book or another story every day, this is the most important thing you can do!

If you have a phonics folder, please continue to practise the sounds you have already been taught.  Make sure that you can use the sounds you know to read unfamiliar words.

English  – continuing Walt Disney biography

All groups:  Can you find any famous quotes that Walt Disney used?  Read and discuss them with your grown-up.  Then write the last part of your biography:

‘Walt had many famous sayings including………’

Would you like to have met Walt Disney?  Why/why not?

Maths

Red and Blue: Today we would like you to work on some problem solving, using the addition and subtraction you have practised this week.

  1. If I baked 26 buns and 14 of them got eaten, how many would I have left?
  2. There are 16 passengers on the bus.  At the next stop, 15 more people get on.  How many are on the bus now?

Can you make up your own word problems?

Yellow:

  1. If I baked 16 buns and 8 of them got eaten, how many would I have left?
  2. There are 16 passengers on the bus.  At the next stop, 3 more people get on.  How many are on the bus now?

Can you make up your own word problems?

PE

Use ‘Go Noodle’ activities, ‘Just Dance,’ or Joe Wicks.  Alternatively, if the weather is good, why not try going for a walk?
